National Centre for Environmental Art
DESIGNED IN COLLABORATION WITH TAUT
A museum surrounded by a curated native bushland park on land managed by Trust for Nature in the foothills of Gariwerd and Halls Gap.
A world class gallery space and educational facility within a wetlands conservation area on the outskirts of Halls Gap. The project has been designed to both rejuvenate the wetlands and encourage public engagement with local flora and fauna. The museum itself is comprised of a substantial gallery, with associated storage areas, fitted with international museum standard security and climate control, capable of housing a world class collection of art relating to the subject of wildlife. The galleries are supported by a large central covered plaza, encouraging communal gatherings, community galleries, a cafe/restaurant, offices and a project space for resident artists.
