This work comprises an array of steel profiles extracted from photographs of ruined Grecian statues brought back to life by vibrant powder-coated colours. The figures give an optimistic sense of a crowd of individuals holding up the building above while the inclusion of a few headless statues adds a touch of the macabre and the ancient. The figures are designed to give a sense of the diversity of the people of the place while also commenting on the persistence and universality of the human condition.
