This public artwork, developed and documented for artist Julia Gorman, is the rear public face of the Esplanade Apartments in St Kilda by Becton.

The work is an array of powder-coated steel profiles extracted from photographs of ruined Grecian statues brought back life by vibrant powder coated colours.

The figures give an optimistic sense of a crowd of individuals holding up the building above while the inclusion of a few headless statues adds a touch of the macabre.

Julia Gorman is represented by Arc One Gallery in Flinders Lane Melbourne.
