Our design of the display of this large collection of objects and footage draws explicitly from the motifs of space.
A project room is clad in Lunar Landing Module gold foil, a series of smaller objects are displayed in an 'asteroid belt', a series of films and objects are arranged in a false perspective space corridor and a collection of space suits is choreographed to mimic a famous scene from film on the space race.
The exhibition features early 20th century films on space exploration, a camera that has actually been on the moon, a series of commissioned and curated artworks about space, a collection of space suits, books, images, record covers, a 3d interactive tour acros the surface of mars and a terrarium for the production of oxygen.
